O2 and HTC today announce the HTC HD7, the ultimate way to experience Windows Phone 7, is launching exclusively on O2 on 21 October. Windows Phone 7 is all about making everyday tasks easier by giving all the information needed at a glance and the HTC HD7, with its large 4.3 inch touch screen, makes it even simpler. The People hub, opened from the personalised start screen, is where all contacts sit alongside Facebook and Windows Live friends, pictures and feeds. The Games hub seamlessly connects to customers Xbox Live profile and is where they can play games against their Xbox Live friends, join leaderboards and earn achievements.
Windows Phone 7 also offers the ultimate mobile Microsoft Office experience. The Office hub allows customers to view and edit Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents as well as creating notes in OneNote Mobile that sync wirelessly online. Meanwhile the HD7’s 16GB memory, the largest of any Windows Phone 7 smartphone, ensures the Music + Video hub will always have something to enjoy including movies, music and TV. The huge memory’s also ideal for photos and HD video taken on the 5 megapixel camera.
"Windows Phone 7 is a completely fresh start for Microsoft and brings them right into the smartphone space," said Steve Alder, O2 General Manager Devices. "The large memory and big screen on the HTC HD7, a great exclusive for O2, means that our customers will get the very best experience out of Windows Phone 7."

With the integration of Microsoft’s most popular services like Xbox Live and Zune, Windows Phone 7 is a truly compelling mobile platform.
